Jerry Laurence is a lifelong Worcester resident who, after graduating from Georgetown University Law Center, began doing civil trial defense work in Worcester and has enjoyed doing so for over 40 years, all with the Firm. He has been fortunate to have become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, to have served as a President of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association and to have received the St. Thomas More Medal from the Worcester Red Mass Committee.

Paul O’Connor has been a trial lawyer with the Firm for 30 years. A Worcester native and graduate of Assumption College, his law school education was at Loyola of New Orleans. Paul is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and recipient of the Massachusetts Bar Association Community Service and Worcester County Bar Association President’s Awards. A past President of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association, he is an active member of the Joint Bar Committee on Judicial Nominations. He also enjoys his service as a committee member for Boy Scout Troop 54.

Karen Loughlin Foley is a Magna Cum Laude Graduate of Boston College and a 1985 graduate of Baylor University Law School. Karen’s civil litigation practice includes a significant portion of workers' compensation and other employment related matters, in which she is a frequent lecturer. A Worcester native, her service to the community, particularly the poor, homeless, and needy children was recognized by The President’s Award from the Worcester County Bar Association and the St. Thomas More Medal from the St. Thomas More Society.

Dan Wrenn was born and raised in Worcester County, graduating from St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, MA in 1979 and from Fairfield University in 1983. He worked for People’s Savings Bank for one year post graduation, and thereafter attended and graduated from Suffolk Law School in 1987. Dan joined the Firm in September 1987, becoming a partner in 1990. For his entire tenure as a practicing attorney, he has defended doctors, nurses, hospitals, and other healthcare providers. Dan lives in Worcester with his wife and two children. He is active in the Worcester County community, and in the Worcester Country Bar Association. From 2001-2005 he served as a member of the Bar Association’s Executive Committee. Dan presently serves as a hearing officer, District 4, Worcester County, for the Board of Bar Overseers of the Supreme Judicial Court.

Jen DeFronzo joined the Firm in January 2003 and was named a partner in January 2007. Her practice is concentrated in civil litigation, with an emphasis in professional liability defense and insurance defense. She currently sits on the Human Rights Committee of Alternatives Unlimited, Inc., a Massachusetts organization serving disabled clients and their families and accepts pro bono cases through the Volunteer Lawyers Service of the Massachusetts Justice Project. Jen is an active member of the Worcester County Bar Association. Originally from southern California, she is a graduate of Clark University in Worcester and the Northeastern University School of Law. Jen lives in Paxton with her husband and two young sons.

Jennifer M. Derosier has been at the Firm since 2003, and has six years of litigation experience. She received her ABA approved Paralegal Certificate in the spring of 2007 from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. She received her Associate’s Degree from Quinsigamond Community College in 2002. Jennifer is a member of the Central Massachusetts Paralegal Association.

Stephanie Beauregard has been at the Firm since 2006. She received her ABA approved Paralegal Certificate in spring of 2007 along with an Associate’s Degree from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. Stephanie is currently working toward receiving her Bachelor’s Degree and is planning to further her law career by attending law school in the fall of 2009. Stephanie is a member of the Central Massachusetts Paralegal Association.
